I think their best retort will be that you will burn in hell.

I think this is the reason why so many people are upset with this new branch of Christianity. before there were many Christian denominations, but none had tried to shoved it up our noses with such vehemence.

Fundamentalists

because they are idiots. The Bible was for peoples in a certain time period and it gave guidlines for a good life. Today the basic principles of the New Testament which replaced the teachings and instructions of the Old Testament apply. If people lived by them what a wonderful world. All one needs for a good life is in the Book of Matthew. two guidlines to live by. 1. Love the Lord God 2. Love others before the self. Simple isn't it.

Fundamentalists

When God says that He does not change, He is speaking about His nature and character. But this does not mean that He cannot change how He works with people throughout history.
When we see God changing His mind, we are seeing it from a human perspective. Since God knows all things from all eternity, He as always known the ultimate plan that He would carry out; even the plan to "change His mind." As we have seen in Jonah's account of Nineveh. They repented and God relented from the destruction that was to come upon the inhabitants. Of course, God knew this would happen and instituted the warning to them in order to bring about their repentance. There is no mystery here.

Comment on Christians: how many of you who consider yourselves Fundamentalists have been married by a female minister? by Independent Baptist Church

Independent Baptist Church

Well, I don't consider myself a fundamentalist by any means so I am not sure if your question applies to me, but I am going to answer it anyway. I would have absolutely no problem being married by a female minister. I have worshiped in a church with a female minister before and have gotten just as much out of it as I have with a male minister. However, my grandfather is a minister and it would be special to me if he married me and my future husband instead. That though, is more for familial reasons than gender issues.

Blessings to you LM! :-)

Fundamental Baptist Churches

I would not have minded, but there are few female ministers in my denomination. We were married by man & God!

I admit religion has been hard on females, but the WORLD has been even harder, Jesus commands husbands to love their wives.

If there is no God, then wives and children are possessions, and man rules! Does that make things better?

Conservative fundamentalist want to CONSERVE what is good, and live according to fundamentals of good behaviour and morality. How can anyone fault that?

Fundamentalists have seldom been married by a female minister, but that might change.

Doctors used to be men too! Now there are more women than men, in medical school in Canada, my homeland, studying to be doctors.

Fundamentalists

I'm not one but when I was married by my Nonbelieving Aunt that was just a notary she sealed it with a prayer because I requested it. And I was backsliden then.
But my marriage just hit 10 years.

Comment on what are the basic differences between moderates and fundamentalists in Islam? by Independent Baptist Church

Independent Baptist Church

there are no such things as moderates and fundamentalists in Islam

stop putting your own labels on Muslims.

EDIT: well, how kind of you to insult someone without provocation.

I've expressed my opposition to Prime Minister Badawi ideas on Islamic Hadari. He holds to his opinion as I hold to mine and we agree to disagree.

ex PM Mahathir disagrees with PM Badawi on these issues also.

question is: are the Prime Ministers of any country the sources of Islam? Anyone with a basic understanding of Islam knows he has to go back to the Qur'an and Sunnah to learn sincerely about Islam.

what're your sources? Yahoo! Answers and Moham~Sandwich?
